365/34 Bridges

My grandson, Michael who's 5 1/2 now, has been a big fan of Thomas for as long as I can remember. He has many of the trains, the track set up, books, and movies about Thomas. Even clothes with Thomas on them.

The last few weeks he's been especially interested in a certain movie about Thomas and the Old Iron Bridge. According to his Mom, that's all he talks about these days. Kids learn when we encourage them by showing interest in what they are learning and what interests them. This past weekend his Mom & Dad took him to see an old iron bridge, so he could take pictures of it with his camera. Gramie wishes she could have gone along, but since she couldn't, she went on Amazon.com and ordered Michael a couple books about bridges. Who knows someday he could be designing them, refurbishing them, photographing them for books or something. You never know where a child's interest will lead them.
