Corky is NO More!

My husband's real name is not Corky, it's just a nickname, but last night was the last night for that nickname.

Why you ask?  Because after calling him four times at increasing volumes, he still didn't hear me. 

My oldest daughter who is an audiologist informed me that it was a poor name for him, because it was all high decibels and that is the first sounds to go when there's hearing loss.  She said you need a name with lower tones, like G  U  S.....so Gus is now his new nickname.  I'll let you know if it works better than Corky.

When I start talking about Gus, I hope folks don't think I've got a new boyfriend  UPS man.
