Pictures from New Mexico - Thanks Audra!

Pictures & words from Audra's recent email.

These pictures are of our trip to the White Sands National Monument. We went with our neighbors, Chasity, Brian and their son, Caden who live across the street. We had a BBQ and went sledding down the dunes, it was amazing!!! I've never seen anything like it; I feel really blessed I had a chance to experience something so cool!!

I wish the pictures would have display larger. I'll ask her if she can send them to me in a larger format and recopy them again to my blog.

365/45 Audra's Collection

What do you collect? Audra's godfather & wife started buying Audra snow babies when she was just little...can't remember exactly when. We started adding to her collection and eventually she started buying them too.

The little snow baby poking it's head out of the wrapped present box is her very first one. I took these pictures after an ice storm, so the glass in the bay window looks really cool.

And the wedding cake one we bought her the year she was married. I love the Mr. & Mrs. Penguin on top.

The moose one is from Rick this year.... I LOVE IT!

A couple of years ago, I started to realize how much I was going to miss putting out the snow babies when Audra finally moved away, so I started collecting them myself. Smart thinking on my part, because now all those snow babies are in transit to the other side of the United States.

Oh Where oh Where is my Audra Going?

White Sands, New Mexico.

Helpful Hints:
You can zoom in and out by using the plus and minus signs. And you can use the arrows to move around. Click on the X to get rid of the White Sands sign that pops up. *Most of you probably don't need those hints, but since it took me awhile to figure it all out, thought I'd mention it just incase.

Rick has been in-processed and has secured a three bedroom house for them on base. The last we were told is that he will arrive here on Sunday, take a couple days to visit family and friends then they will head to New Mexico. The moving company will pick up their boxes, bedroom furniture and whatever else they can scrounge for their empty house on Wednesday of next week. That is all we know right now, but will keep you posted as we know more.

You would think that Audra and Ashley would be the closest together if you checked out a map, but looks are deceiving; it's a 25 1/2 hour trip. Ugh! 1195 miles going straight across, more taking suggested route.
