Too Busy to Post

Now that there are three children in this household here in Maine it's even wilder than before, so I'm sorry about the lack of posting. Amanda has been off from work since I arrived, and we've been making the most of it going out to lunch, shopping and taking walks.  I have pictures galore that I've taken during my trip and plan to share them here on the blog when I return home tomorrow.

Today we are having a clam bake.  Derek is an awesome chef, and my mouth is already watering as I'm soon going to be enjoying the taste of lobster for the second time on this long weekend excursion.  We had a beautiful day here yesterday and today the weather forecasters are predicting it to hit 85 degrees today.

Another arrival!

Another arrival, but not just another baby.  This little guy completes a family of three boys.  Just what I dreamed of having many years ago myself, but God had a different plan and I raised four daughters instead.

My Meghan holding the baby.
Meghan's good friend is also named Megan, but during the brief visit we made to see the baby we didn't actually let her hold him, so I didn't take any photos of her.
I'm sorry Megan.  I am sooooo bad.
I did however, let my Meghan hold him before I did, and I expect
Brownie Points for that one.

Meet Wil
He slept the whole visit, but as we were going out the door he did let out a short cry to let everyone know he was getting hungry.  I so enjoyed the cuddling time and offered to help his Grandma when she babysits, because there are now more kids than she has arms to hold them.  Jan has shared her grandchildren with me in the past, she is a true friend and knows how much I miss my Grandkids that live so far away.

Is she contemplating another one?
My Meghan is setting on the fence right now, on whether to have a third child, but for right now she's enjoying her friends new little babies.

Here's a list of all the new arrivals....family & friends.

Truman...................Amanda's friend, Laura
Ashlynn Jane............My niece, Taryn's  baby
William David..........Meghan's friend, Megan
Baby Girl................Audra's friend Danelle, I can't remember what they named her.
Gabrielle Stella........Wendy, Ashley nannies for her family.
Pollyanna................Meghan's friend, Missy

And we are waiting for one more arrival.  The miracle of birth is just so amazing and each child so very precious to those waiting to welcome them to the new world.

More Tubby Pics

Some kids need cute clothes to help them look cute.
Not this girl!
Some of her cutest pictures are in the tubby.

She is super adorable all on her own.
Nothing extra needed.

Random Shots of the Girls

Daniela playing blocks in her Dora Nightie.
What do you think?  A possible architect?

Rowyn playing with a toy I bought at the Mom to Mom sale.
I do believe Rick and Audra are going to try to make room to take a few toys
and the exersaucer back with them.

Daniela's hair is lightening up even more,
I wonder if it will be blonde by the end of the summer.

It looks darker in this shot.

Last Friday

Rowyn developed a cough and runny nose
and by Thursday it was obvious she needed to be
checked out before the weekend.

She was still happy and had no fever,
but her cough was tight and she was starting to wheeze.

The doctor diagnosed her with possible RSV and an ear infection.
She was given an antibiotic and a nebulizer & meds.
Bummer!
Today they took her back to the doctors and she
confirmed that she's doing much better.
The RSV test was NEGATIVE!
The Dr. is keeping her on the breathing treatments
a while longer because  her sinus drainage is making it hard for her
to breath.  The doctor also recommended she see a nose specialist
when they get back to New Mexico.
Looks like Rowyn's walking in her Mama's shoes on this one.
Audra had sinus issues from 2 weeks on and had to have
her adenoids removed at a very early age.

Adorable and not that fussy for a sick baby either.
She has had some trouble falling asleep at night, but gee
is she an easy baby.

She likes to eat

Breakfast time - Yum!

Ain't she sweet!

She's a combo of both Rick & Audra

Such a happy girl

Time to get ready for church, but wanted to post some cute pictures first.
Baby Ro Ro has taken over the high chair & Daniela is sitting in a booster chair at the table.
That's what happens when number 5 & 6 are in the house.
Baby Einstein & Fresh Beat Band & Strawberry Shortcake are battling it
out for which gets played the most.
There's baby toys and contraptions all over the place and cute
little squeals and laughter fill the air.

On the flip side - my laundry room smells like a overused bathroom,
the wash machine is running overtime and Gramie is running low on energy.
But I'm loving it and wouldn't have it any other way.

New Baby in the Woods

Audra & Rick went for a walk and discovered
this little one waiting for it's mom in the underbrush.

They did the right thing, just took a quick look and
then left post-haste so as not to disturb the fawn from it's hiding spot.

The doe's leave their babies during the day and go off to feed,
they return towards evening and nurse the fawns.
I know from working at a Nature Center that many people
assume the fawn has been abandoned and try to rescue it.
DO NOT move the fawn unless you know the Mother has died, or
can see the the fawn is unhealthy.  An example would be if
it's covered in maggots or diarrhea or dehydrated and lethargic.
(Sorry if that's a bit graphic)

We had one several years ago only two feet from our lawn in some tall weeds.
They are so beautiful and sound like a little lamb when they cry out.
Just one of God's bountiful treasures of the animal kingdom.

Cousin Pictures

I'm sure there is someone out there that is wondering where are all the
pictures of the visiting grandbaby.
Well even though they arrived Friday a.m. I still had to work,
although I was fairly swooning when I arrived
because I was able to feed and rock her to sleep before I went to work.  Awwwwh!

I did watch her one evening while they went out to see the Red Wings
and play cards at a friends house, she was only up for two hours
and then down for the night.  She was fussy, due to some gas issues, so
I didn't get a chance to take pictures.

Here's some tubby pictures of the cousins I managed to take one night after dinner.

Daniela teaching Rowyn how to drink the bath water.  Oh no!

These cousins are just 10 months apart in age.

They were having a great time in the tub.

As you can probably tell from the water agitation, there was much slashing and kicking doing on.

A couple real cuties!!!

On Mother's Day we had to share with Grandma Lynn, which I'm more
than happy to do, because "Boy do I know how it feels to
be a Long Distance Gramie."

Last night she was whisked off, so Audra could go get her hair done.
And tonight she's at a Great Grandma's house.
Tomorrow's my day off, so I should have a home court advantage!
Wish me Luck!

Happy Mother's Day

It was a great day.
It started with me being able to sleep in.

Then with Ashley cleaning up the kitchen & helping me fix
lunch.
We met Audra & Rick and Rick's Mom & brothers
at church.
I felt blessed to have two of my daughters & granddaughters in church with me.
I know that Lynn felt equally blessed to have all three of her sons with her.
Me and My Two Youngest Daughters & Their Daughters
For lunch we had  ham & sweet potatoes, green bean casserole and
fresh asparagus from my garden.
Then we had a photo shoot.
Audra & Rowyn 7 months - Ashley & Daniela 17 months
Rowyn was tired, but cooperating.

Happy Roberts Family

Ashley & Daniela (who wasn't cooperating)
Uncle Rick returning her from the Neighbors Yard
Ashley with her niece, Rowyn Gracie Jane

She was A-dorable in that dress!

Catch me if you can!

After photos while the girls took a nap, Grandpa took me to the movies, to see Soul Surfer.
It was a relaxing and very enjoyable day.
I spoke with both of my oldest two daughters on the phone today
and am comforted with the fact that I will get to spend time
with each of them later in the month of May.

I hope you had a Great Mother's Day as well.

Your the Best MOM

***UPDATE****
This posted automatically while I was still
trying to figure out how to make it work.
I went back and read directions, used the
help button, tried installing players etc.
Ugh!
I wanted it to work so badly.
But alas, I give up.
I'll email everyone the audio file.

OMG!

If this isn't the cutest recording ever.
He sounds professional and so poised and so mature
and at the end....
so Michael

I've listened numerous times and it's....
I'm speechless

Listen for yourself.

Kissing those pounds Good-Bye

Thursday is the day I weigh in at Weight Watchers.
Last week I didn't post, but today I will
because I've lost quite a bit more.
Here's the grand total for the month of April and this first few days of May.

Plus 8/10's of another

I'm sticking to it.
I've been trying some new recipes.
Exercising more.
Hopefully making some changes in my lifestyle that will remain with me
after Weight Watchers is finished.

We have Baby Pics

I received a link by email and viewed them through my Kodak account.
She's cute as can be.
Little round head and just a bit of peach fuzz hair.

If you want to see pictures, you'll have
to click here, Michelle, the baby's Auntie that took
the pictures, posted them on her blog.

Oh! boy is she going to be spoiled!
I can see it coming......
from the parents, grandparents, Aunt & Uncle
and all those cousins, they are swooning over her already.

When I kept talking about not being able to wait
to see the pictures, Ashley said "Mom, you're
really bad, you're just crazy about babies, aren't you?"
Yep! that's me crazy about them babies, all babies,
but especially "our" babies.
Welcome, Ashlynn Jane.

She's Here! She's Here!

Today is Ashlynn's birth day.
She arrived shortly before eight this evening.
Weighing in at 8 lbs and 10 1/2 oz
and measuring 20 1/2 inches long.

I don't have any details except that Taryn's water broke
at work this morning
and Martha & Allen took off for the hospital.

The baby arrived sunny-side up and
her grandparents hadn't seen her yet when
the first call went out to announce her arrival.

God bless this new little family.
I hope we don't have to wait to long before we hear more news
or see pictures of the new baby.

A New Love

Recently I play a Net Flix video of Strawberry Shortcake
and had a blast watching, not the video
but my granddaugher, Daniela.

She was laughing hysterically at the dog, Pupcake and the cat, Custard
who were crashing into things and getting messy etc.
She laughs sometimes at Baby Einstein, but nothing like the
exuberant laughter that the antics on Strawberry Shortcake caused.

I tried Episode II the next day, but didn't get quite the same reaction.
It's the pets she loves specifically and them getting into mischief.
It's so cute to see her reactions.

I think we'll be seeing more of these guys in our future.

What entertains your kids?
