The Beauty of Trees

These trees reside in North Carolina.  To me they look like something out of a Fantasy movie like Lord of the Rings.

I just had to take a few pictures of the ivy covered columns.

Although this one is not as close as I would have liked to take it, is a pretty cool tree the way it's trunk is bent.

I often wonder how or why the tree grew that way.  Was it a force of nature or man?

I'll probably never have a chance to view and photograph trees half as cool as these, but it is fun to look for them.
